He's not a star though, he just does bit parts!

WELCOME!

The origins of my love for horses are in childhood. I lived in a big city and, though I thought we had a big garage, my mother was not in agreement about using it as a stable.

Undaunted, most of my play involved pretending to be horses or be on horses. Sometimes, I even ate like a horse (when my parents let me) with my hands behind my back.

I day-dreamed about horses. I collected plastic horses. I straddled the railing of my porch and pretended to ride.

In the winter, I took turns with my little sister pulling each other like a horse-drawn sleigh over the snowy sidewalks. (A long scarf around the back of the neck and under the arms served well as a harness.)

There was no need to ask what I wanted to do on holidays--I always wanted to ride horses. Every summer vacation, or anytime my parents would take the family on a ride into the country, I asked to stop and pet any horses I saw. (I didn't get to do this often... :0( )

In junior high school, I joined the riding club. Once or twice a month we students drove to rent-a-horse stables on the edge of the city and rode. Those were some of the best days...

So, while I am not a professional equestrian or directly involved in the "horse world", my world would not be complete without my love for these animals.
